TLF ID A003933

This work sample demonstrates evidence of student learning in relation to aspects of the achievement standards for Year 2 English. The primary purpose for the work sample is to demonstrate the standard, so the focus is on what is evident in the sample not how it was created. The sample is an authentic representation of student work and may contain errors such as spelling mistakes and other inaccuracies. In this work sample students: • create written and/or multimodal texts including stories to inform, express an opinion, adapt an idea or narrate for audiences • use text structures to organise and link ideas for a purpose • punctuate simple and compound sentences • use topic-specific vocabulary • write words using consistently legible unjoined letters • spell words with regular spelling patterns, and use phonic and morphemic knowledge to attempt to spell words with less common patterns.
